Project Manager Study Coordination (f/x/m)

Berlin, Magdeburg
Full or part-time
Temporary

Our mission

Every 3 seconds, somewhere in the world, a person develops dementia. Today, more than 55 million people worldwide are living with dementia, and due to the aging population, this number is expected to rise to 78 million by 2030 and 139 million by 2050. The World Health Organization therefore classifies dementia as a public health priority. Even though dementia is still incurable, there have been significant developments in this field recently: disease-modifying drugs for the early stages of Alzheimer's disease have now been approved for the first time. We have made it our mission to enable early medical assessment and continuous monitoring of memory problems associated with Alzheimer's disease. That is why we have developed digital cognitive tests that are embedded in smartphone apps and can be used in research or healthcare.

Your responsibilities

neotiv develops digital cognitive assessments to detect and monitor cognitive impairment along the Alzheimer’s disease continuum. Our assessments are used as outcome measures in pharma-sponsored clinical trials and academic studies. To strengthen our Science & Innovation Team, we are looking for a Project Manager Study Coordination (35 hours/week, based in Magdeburg, Berlin, or remotely) who will take responsibility for delivering these studies from setup to close-out, serving as the main point of contact for sponsors, CROs, and study sites. The position is fixed-term until 31 January 2028 as parental leave cover, with the prospect of an extension or a permanent position.
  • Plan, set up, run and close studies and clinical trials in which neotiv assessments are used, including milestone and timeline tracking against contractual scopes of work.
  • Act as the main point of contact for sponsors, CROs, academic partners and study sites, and build and maintain strong working relationships with them.
  • Coordinate the study setup and configuration of the neotivPortal and neotivTrials app, including user acceptance testing (UAT) with the sponsor.
  • Plan and deliver site and study-team trainings and prepare onboarding materials, also in multiple languages.
  • Prepare study documentation and protocols, and support ethics/IRB and funding applications.
  • Manage change requests and scope questions in close alignment with our product, development and support teams.
  • Help acquire new project partners and keep track of scientific developments relevant to neotiv.

Your profile

  • MSc in Psychology, Neuroscience, Neurology, Medicine or a related field. A PhD is an advantage.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience managing clinical and/or academic research studies. Experience on the vendor or technology-provider side of clinical trials (e.g. digital biomarker, CRO or similar), working with pharma sponsors, is strongly preferred.
  • Good knowledge of the clinical trial setting, ideally including ethics/IRB submissions, site training and sponsor/CRO collaboration.
  • Experience leading project teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders and workstreams in parallel.
  • Interest in and knowledge of cognitive neuroscience and neurodegeneration. Knowledge of digital health and precision medicine is a plus.
  • Fluent German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident use of Microsoft 365 and common project management tools (Jira/Confluence).
  • A reliable, structured way of working with a strong eye for detail, and the ability to stay calm and flexible when timelines or requirements change.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

What we have to offer

  • Flexible working from our offices in Magdeburg and Berlin, or from home.
  • Flexible working hours and 30 days of annual leave.
  • Monthly benefits worth €65 net (mobility allowance, non-cash benefit and/or Urban Sports Club membership).
  • A childcare allowance of up to €135 net per month, if needed.
  • An occupational pension scheme, with the employer contribution rising to up to 80% with length of service.
  • A training budget for your professional and personal development.
  • Monthly Creative Days for new ideas, collaboration and room to develop creatively.
  • A great team that enjoys its work and is committed to high standards of quality and professionalism.
