Every 3 seconds someone in the world develops dementia. With an ever-growing and ever-aging population in nearly every country, the number of people who suffer from dementia will increase from 55 million to 78 million in 2030 and up to 139 million in 2050. The World Health Organization sees dementia as a public health priority. However, there is still no treatment available to cure the disease, although novel promising treatments are currently being investigated in several clinical trials.
Our mission is to enable the early medical assessment and monitoring of memory problems along the Alzheimer’s disease continuum. Therefore, we have developed cognitive tests, embedded in a mobile application, that can be used in research or healthcare.
